Adoot.me is a platform that connects pet adopters with pet publishers (shelters, rescue organizations, and individual pet owners). We facilitate the connection between parties but do not participate in the adoption process itself.

The Platform provides:

• A marketplace for browsing available pets for adoption
• Communication tools between adopters and publishers
• Search and filtering capabilities to find pets
• User accounts for managing adoption requests and listings

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself and any pets you list
• Respect the rights of other users and treat them with courtesy
• Not engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Not upload or transmit any harmful code, viruses, or malicious software
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Not impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

5. Pet Listings and Content

5.1 Publisher Responsibilities

If you list a pet for adoption, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right to offer the pet for adoption
• All information provided about the pet is accurate and truthful
• You will follow through with your own adoption process and requirements
• You will respond to adoption requests in a timely and professional manner

5.2 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you post on the Platform. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform.

5.3 Prohibited Content

You may not post content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or violates any third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

6. Adoption Process

Adoot.me serves as a connection platform only. We do not:

• Make adoption decisions or approve/decline adoption requests
• Conduct background checks, home visits, or verification processes
• Handle adoption fees or financial transactions between parties
• Guarantee the outcome of any adoption
• Take responsibility for the health, behavior, or condition of pets listed on the Platform

The adoption process, including interviews, home visits, fees, and final decisions, is managed entirely by the pet publisher (shelter, rescue organization, or individual owner). Adoot.me is not a party to any adoption agreement between users.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADOOT.ME SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information on the Platform. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.

You acknowledge that Adoot.me is not responsible for the health, safety, or welfare of any pet, and you use the Platform at your own risk.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Adoot.me and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Adoot.me and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the Platform without our prior written permission.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Platform immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination.
