Pet adoption in Milano
The Labrador Retriever is one of the most beloved and adopted breeds in Italy, and it's easy to see why. Gentle, playful, and extraordinarily affectionate with the whole family, the Labrador adapts easily to home life, loves company, and does not tolerate prolonged solitude. It's a highly intelligent breed, easy to train, and excellent with children — qualities that make it one of the most sought-after family dogs.
Despite their popularity, many Labradors are waiting in Italian shelters for a new family. Often these are adult dogs left by owners due to financial or lifestyle changes, or animals rescued from abandonment situations. An adult Labrador adopted from a shelter brings all the sweetness of the breed, often already trained and with a formed character — a real advantage over a puppy.
The size is medium-large: males reach 30–36 kg. The Labrador needs daily physical activity — at least two long walks per day — and loves swimming, running, and fetching. At home they are calm if given sufficient exercise. Adoption conditions vary by shelter — check each animal's profile for details.
